Well, this term is awfully short, ten weeks to do a lot of things: study, dance and tai chi practice, Il Quattrocento and a taphonomy study group reunions, without counting the hours of lectures at university, so a lot of work in a short time, you can guess it's means that little sleep is a given, and so is stress. But I can't really complain, nobody force me to take tai chi like sport requirement this year, or to get in the study group, the magazine(Il Quattrocento) or dance like extracurricular activities.
I though it wouldn’t be too awful, and it’ not really that bad, but the lectures are boring, I don’t really like most of the subjects they cover, only one or two have some use, but another upper classmate told me that when I decide for the speciality of the carer that I want- She took it – it won’t be of any help.
I took ethnology of Chile, ok, I have to accept it’s interesting but I could use the time for other things, like sleep, very important thing. Introduction to Ethnography, a course where we have to study a group of persons, they are dancers of a little company, but this I really don’t like, I hate to need to get to know a person for a grade. Psychology, it’s fine, also structuralism and prehistory II, interesting - if not useful- but I have to take them to graduate, like workshop of investigation (it’s so oriented to social anthropology, and I wanna get into the biological side of the carer ).The summer thing is a problem, I don’t function well with high temperature, but I have to try, there is nothing left to do.
And about Christmas, well I suppose that I can’t really do anything about it either, only try to get the best of it. My parents are going to visit me that date, so I will not be alone, I have to appreciate that at least.
I really envy you!! not for all the extra courses you take (because you are crazy) bau for the travel it's waiting for you at the ends of this crazy term!
